Dogs! from Night Owl Quilting


I had two great dog themed quilts come into my studio in one week.  First up is this one by Valerie.  It was a quilt along with her quilting group and she decided to feature some dog themed fabrics that she had been collecting.


We opted for a simple meander over the body of the quilt and a paw print border motif.




Wendy made this quilt for her brother-in-law who has loved his pet goldens.  The request was for simple quilting, and nothing cutesy like bones or paws or hearts.  Wendy and I discussed a number of options and settled ...

Sylvia’s Block on the Month from Night Owl Quilting


This quilt was made by Sylvia.  Her sewing group was following a Block of the Month pattern. and she made changes along the way that better suited her taste.  


Sylvia asked for a simple meander that wasn't too small in scale.  I hadn't quilted an all over meander in ages so this was fun for me.

Shirley’s Christmas Quilt from Quilted Joy

One of the common rules of holidays is that the Christmas holiday does not start until after Thanksgiving. Why can’t we enjoy every holiday fully and not brush past the fall celebrations in favor of the more flashy winter ones? But as any fiber artist will tell you, Christmas decorations must be started long before November if they are to be ready for enjoying come Black Friday. Just because we don’t put the decorations up, doesn’t mean that we are not feverishly creating them, and enjoying every Christmas filled moment of it.
